Legal Framework

Following Singapore’s Independence, the Societies Ordinance was repealed, leading to the enactment of the new Societies Act in 1967. Under this legal framework, the Singapore Tamilian Association is registered with the Registry of Societies and operates in accordance with the provisions outlined in the Registry of Societies Act Chapter 311.
